Special Message to our Pickwick Anglers and Friends
After much deliberation, prayers, and efforts to identify a critical mass of sponsor support, we have made the decision not to conduct what would be the 11th Annual Pickwick Bass Classic in 2023. The decline in sponsor support in recent years has resulted in unfavorable gross income:net proceed ratios, which are critical to surviving fiscal audit scrutiny and thus justifying the time, effort and expense incurred in a charitable fund raising event. Sufficient business and community support is simply not apparent. We will, however, continually revisit options for 2024, and will remain hopeful that new opportunities arise. Thank you for a great 10 years! The Pickwick angling community has made a major difference in the lives of hurting children and families!
